From the Executive Secretary

In the past ten years, the Lagos State Technical and Vocational Education Board has bridged the gap between education and the labour market by providing students with occupation-specific skills that enable them to further their education, gain employment and contribute to the economic development of the state. Our colleges have over 7,000 students enrolled in 21 courses in Construction, Engineering, Business and Miscellaneous trade areas. Due to the increasing demand for technical education, we plan to increase student’s intake by an extra 5,000 by 2022. To achieve this, a number of strategies are in place which includes the major rebranding of our colleges, the introduction of new courses to align with industry demand and increasing our partnership base.

In line with modern technological advancements in education, LASTVEB is also introducing the Learning Management Platform, an online portal where students can access educational resources, quizzes and assessments, and interact effectively with their tutors.

Our goal is to continually provide opportunities for our students to harness both the educational and economic benefits of TVET by equipping them with high-quality technical training, modern supportive learning environments and well-trained human resources. Please take a moment to explore our website and contact us through the email provided should you require further information regarding technical education in Lagos state.

Warm regards,
Moronke Azeez
