GTC Agindingbi

GTC Agidingbi, the youngest of the Five Technical Colleges managed by Lagos State Technical and Vocational Education Board, was founded in November 1986. The college was initially located at the old Domestic Science Center at Sabo and finally moved to its present site at Lateef Jakande Road by Hakeem Balogun Street, Agidingbi (Opposite Cadbury Plc)  in May 1991. Ikeja, on the same axis with the Central Business District, Alausa, Ikeja. Our catchment area covers Ikeja, Agege, Sango, Mowe-Ibafo, Akute, Olambe.

We started with 69 students and three trade areas (Electrical Installation Works Maintenance, Garment Making and Commercial Studies) and we have since grown to offer 12 courses; with a present student population of 1,357.

We take pride in our engineering courses like Automation & Mechatronics, Home Appliances, IT Mobile and Audiovisuals, Architectural Draughtsmanship. Our Garment Making, Footwear and Leather Craft trades are also of to notch Academic Excellence.

Our Certificates

After 3 years of successful training, our students earn NBC/NTC (National Business certificate/National Technical Certificate), City & Guild of London Certificate, Advanced Technical Certificate ANTC/ANBC, Federal Labor Trade Test Certificate and the Federal Craft Training Certificate.

In addition to that,

  • Students from the Instrumentation Mechanics section earn the FESTO Certificate in Automation and Mechatronics
  • Electrical installation, Electronics, Refrigeration & Air Conditioning & Computer Craft students earn an additional Samsung Certificate.

  • Admission of Students into Dangote Academy.

Our 2014 Graduates were admitted into Dangote Academy in March 2014 after the entrance examination and oral interview. Three of them were employed by Dangote Group after their 18 months free training.

  • Curriculum Development:

With the partnership of Samsung West Africa, FESTO (Germany) and Lagos state Government, curriculum development was put in place to marry that of the college with the curriculum of Samsung and the FESTO Authorised and Certified Training centre for synergy of school and industry curriculum

  • Manderin Learning

The Lagos State Government through the Multilingual Department of the Ministry of Education exposed our students to the learning of the Chinese language.

  • Creation of Job Vacancy Unit:

Students have been regularly employed through the job vacancy unit which seeks employment for the students.
